Port Elizabeth and Johannesburg

After spending two days in Port Elizabeth, we travelled 16 hours on a night bus up to Johannesburg. It actually went quite smooth - amazing how great music on your iPod plus a seat that reclines can shorten a long bus trip.

Port Elizabeth was not much to write home about. Our Lonely Planet guide said the city is going through an identity crisis, and we agree. Colonial style architecture mixed with half-finished buildings from the 70s. But then again, we didn't go to the beach area, we only stayed in the city. I have a bit of a cold going on as well, plus it rained. Oh well! At least we got to rest a bit, spend some time on the internet, and drink coffee.

Johannesburg is nice, we're staying in a hostel in the eastern suburbs with a perfect view over the Jo'burg skyline, a pool in the garden and a driver who can take us anywhere. Plan for tomorrow is the Apartheid Museum, before flying off to Nairobi, Kenya. What a life!
